Since 2012, No Fixed Address has raised over $340,000 to support services at the YWCA Niagara Region
No Fixed Address draws awareness to poverty and homelessness, and provides much needed funding for the YWCA Niagara Region to provide support and programming throughout Niagara.
Say What? Sleep in my car?
Like a marathon or a walk-a-thon, participants will create teams, gather sponsorships from friends and family and take part in an event that gives them a taste of what it is like to have to live out of their car.
Participants will hear stories from people who have experienced homelessness here in Niagara, come together for a vigil to remember the women and men we've lost to suicide, overdose and other consequences of homelessness. At the end of the night, participants will spend the night in their car or tent to get a tiny idea of what it might be like not to have a home.
No Fixed Address is truly a humbling and eye-opening event for everyone and the funds raised go directly towards supporting homeless women and families here in Niagara.
Every dollar raised helps put an end to homelessness in Niagara
Last year, YW’s shelters operated at 110% capacity.
All funds raised through No Fixed Address directly support services at the YWCA Niagara Region, providing shelter, food and assistance to women and families living in poverty.
